”Without inspiration the best powers of the mind remain dormant, there is a fuel in us which needs to be ignited with sparks.”

Inspiration is a creative force or influence, arousing one to a particular emotion or action. I have noticed that some of my best accomplishments or projects started from a dream or a sudden brilliant idea that when transformed into a vision naturally propelled me into action. Other times my great ideas do not come to fruition. If I look at what is missing, most times there is an absence of inspiration with the goals I have that don’t materialize. When I am aroused or excited by what I am up to it is much easier to be in action because there is a flow that naturally draws me toward the outcome. When I am truly inspired by something there is a feeling attached to it and it resonates from within; this is a very different experience from feeling I need to push or struggle to achieve a goal.
So how does one keep the connection with that inspiration? If we lose the spark of excitement we may fall into a rut or old patterns that draw us away from our intentions. Inspiration is linked to our right brains, so keeping our creative minds stimulated through visualization, art (collage), journaling, poetry or mind mapping can regenerate the initial impetus. Enrolling others in our plans creates added energy, when people are inspired by our dreams, they are touched and moved to support us.
My coaching for you is to look at the goals you are out to achieve…do they inspire you? Are you naturally compelled to turn your dreams into reality? If not, what is missing the presence of which would make a difference? If you are excited about your ideas, do you have someone in your life that is enrolled and holds you in line with your vision?
“The future belongs to those who believe in the beauty of their dreams.”
